LAZY LAYERING

We're all sometimes a little guilty of being lazy when it comes to getting dressed in the morning (I know I am). Sometimes you just want to pick out an outfit within five minutes and step outside. One quick glance in the mirror, hair and makeup in check and we're off. Yes, it can be that easy depending on what and where you're getting dressed for.

My go-to for a quick and easy look is simply a t-shirt and a pair of denim blue jeans. However, when the t-shirt is just long enough that you don't need to have bottoms on, you're all set. Throw on some of your favorite shoes and accessories and boom! I find that a pair of killer heels add that boldness which put together each piece you're wearing. I own a ton of bandeaus / bralettes which I end up just throwing over a graphic tee or plain top just to switch things up. Give it a try, it can actually emphasis your body shape in the most appealing way. As excited as I am for Spring, I've become obsessed with below the knee boots which I'm hoping to get more use of even when the warmer weather hits our way.

PANTSUIT x PINSTRIPES

If I could wear a suit everyday, I probably would. Not to say that they all look great on me, because trust there are hits and several misses. Sometimes I think I look like Diane Keaton but I get more Danny Devito vibes, it happens. I've never loved wearing dresses even as a youngin', it was always the masculine apparel that caught my eye. I was far more interested in the neutral & dark tones when it came to clothing. Not to say I don't love a cool monochrome look or playing around with color, but black is deff a go-to. Leith is a brand that doesn't get as much attention as it should. What I love about their brand is how sleek and on-trend they are. Each piece can be mix & matched as you choose. You can shop their clothing at Nordstrom. I styled this Leith Pinstripe Suit (now on sale fyi) with a thin white turtleneck to make the stripes & pearlescent buttons pop.

Dare to suit up?

BEETLEJUICE

One of the most beautiful, relaxing, and romantic settings has to be Central Park in the Fall. The colors are insanely vibrant during this time of year. For those who don't already know based off my Instagram content, I'm a huge nature girl. I could walk outside for hours surrounded by trees, leaves, water, etc. - its what keeps me sane.

Have you guys checked out the current Who What Wear x Target Collection yet?! You must! Plus a lot of their current items are buy one get one 50% off (woo!). If I could have their whole collection in my closet right now - I would. Below I'm wearing their super comfy, funky, stripe set that gives off major Beetlejuice vibes (where I initially fell in love with Wynona Ryder). I don't think one could ever own too many stripes. If I'm ever going to do a pop of color, it'll always be my shoes that spice up the look. For those not a fan of real fur (such as myself), be sure to checkout Asos. They carry a ton of faux fur coats and scarves. Scroll down below for more on this shoot.

THE SHIRT DRESS

Hope everyone had a relaxing Thanksgiving break with tons of food, family, and friends! Thanksgiving has to be one of my favorite Holidays because 1) calories don't count (and if someone says they do, tell them to f off) and 2) it gathers your loved ones together which is hard to do in todays busy world. This year, I'm especially thankful not only for the continued love and support but because I became an aunt to the cutest little boy named Bret. My heart is full

A shirt dress is easily the most comfortable piece of clothing. I can't even count the amount of button-downs I own because I continue to oversaturate my closet. As much as I love putting together different outfits, I can also be lazy... so this is deff my go-to for an easy+chic outfit of the day. What will shock you guys is that this whole look (minus the Gap trench coat) is all from Beacons Closet. For those of you not familiar, Beacons Closet is a thrift shop with tons of one of a kind affordable vintage pieces. You have to check it out if you haven't already.

THE OFF THE SHOULDER BUTTON DOWN

Back again and just in time for New York Fashion Week! Who's as excited and exhausted as I am!? Its been a busy but overall fun week. So far, my favorite shows have been Tom Ford, Calvin Klein, Jonathan Simhkhai, Tibi, Ulla Johnson, Alexander Wang, and Public School. I'm absolutely obsessed with their SS18 Collection and loving each trend I'm seeing on the runway.

Luckily, we've been having some amazing weather! Its not Fall just yet - but it pretty much feels like it. I've already whipped out my booties and layering pieces. With the transition of seasons, one can really have fun with their wardrobe. I personally love this time of year because I can put on shorts or a skirt with a pair of booties and a nice button down or thin long sleeve blouse. You can make most of what's hanging in your closet and experiment a bit. For this shoot, I really wanted to bring out my leather Joie shorts that have literally been buried in my closet. Working at Neiman Marcus in college was very dangerous. Half of my paychecks went to their Last Call sales. A trend which has been around for a bit that i've been into lately is the off-the-shoulder button down look. It's a different way to style your typical stripe or plain button down and requires very little effort. Pair it with almost any bottom and you're guaranteed to turn heads. More below on this effortless look!
