BOLD BLAZIN

It is the era of the blazer phenomenon. Taking a trend that has been alive for decades and constantly redefining it. The blazer has evolved into much more with a variety of colors, textures, patterns, and overall fit to choose from. I tend to pick one statement piece for each look I pull together - and a bold blazer always seems to do the trick. The structure of this Double Breasted Windowpane Plaid blazer from Topshop is more of an oversized fit which I tend to prefer being that I am more of a casual dresser. The green accent color is a perfect hue for Spring. These patent leather pants add that bit of edge to make this look go from day to night. The weather in New York is confusing lately so boots are still an option (however I feel like I'll be wearing boots or sneakers even as the temp increases). SUITED UP

This season is all about menswear and the suit trend. We've seen it on the red carpet, on the street, in editorials, etc. I'm all about this look! For years I've looked up to Diane Keaton not only as an actress but as a style icon. When I think of Diane Keaton, I think of how she has the ability to take a suited look and add her own touch to it.

Menswear will always be in style. I absolutely love the looser fit and more masculine vibe that mens clothing gives off. This millennial pink suit was so fun to wear and if you're looking for something on the inexpensive side, Topshop offers a ton of options to choose from. Check out more from my latest shoot below!

DISTRESSED DENIM

I'm SUPER excited to finally share my latest shoot with you all! I got to work with my talented friend Katherine Pekala . For those of you who haven't checked out her work, do yourself a favor and take a look. She is one to watch and an absolute amazing creative to work with (not to mention her bomb wardrobe inspired by Stockholm street style).

This look is all about distressed denim! These Levi jeans were actually passed down to me by my colleague. When in doubt, always take handy-downs. Every time I have these jeans on (which is very often) I get a ton of compliments. The wash is perfect! Not to mention they're slightly high waisted and make me look like I have a butt (huge plus for my lanky self). Side note: the jeans were not as ripped when originally purchased. My recommendation for someone who wants a bigger rip is to gradually do it instead of taking the risk of ruining them in one shot. They'll eventually get to the perfect distressed look overtime. Scroll down to see other amazing shots from my session with Katherine.
