CROPPED HOODIE SEASON

I'm happiest when Fall weather finally kicks in. Days like these call for a clash between seasonal pieces. Warm enough to wear a skirt but also breezy enough to throw on a hoodie. There's nothing I love more than leisure wear. I'm absolutely obsessed with this cropped hoodie from Urban Outfitters; it's versatile, can be worn in several different ways, and super cozy. Don't put away those Summer clothes just yet, because with this weather you may just find use for them. More below on where to shop this look!

BELL OF THE BALL

Hi everyone! Hope you all had a great weekend! This outfit was so fun to put together (ignoring the "don't wear white after Labor Day rule" #sorry). Bell sleeves have been a major trend throughout the years. The dramatic sleeves add that perfect amount of funk to any look. This era of fashion is heavily inspired by past decades; specifically the 70's where bell sleeves were introduced. Most of my inspiration comes from different times in fashion which is why I don't have a specific style - I'm always changing things up and trying out new trends, but in my own way.

A few weeks ago I walked in the cutest Boutique (Whim) located in Westchester, New York. That's where I found this beautiful top! It caught my eye the moment I walked in the store. I find that with bell sleeves depending on the look you're going for, its best to find something a bit more tight on your body. You want the sleeves to standout and avoid looking frumpy. Make sure to checkout Whim if you're ever in Westchester... I promise you wont be disappointed. Be sure to scroll down for more on this look!

THE OFF THE SHOULDER BUTTON DOWN

Back again and just in time for New York Fashion Week! Who's as excited and exhausted as I am!? Its been a busy but overall fun week. So far, my favorite shows have been Tom Ford, Calvin Klein, Jonathan Simhkhai, Tibi, Ulla Johnson, Alexander Wang, and Public School. I'm absolutely obsessed with their SS18 Collection and loving each trend I'm seeing on the runway.

Luckily, we've been having some amazing weather! Its not Fall just yet - but it pretty much feels like it. I've already whipped out my booties and layering pieces. With the transition of seasons, one can really have fun with their wardrobe. I personally love this time of year because I can put on shorts or a skirt with a pair of booties and a nice button down or thin long sleeve blouse. You can make most of what's hanging in your closet and experiment a bit. For this shoot, I really wanted to bring out my leather Joie shorts that have literally been buried in my closet. Working at Neiman Marcus in college was very dangerous. Half of my paychecks went to their Last Call sales. A trend which has been around for a bit that i've been into lately is the off-the-shoulder button down look. It's a different way to style your typical stripe or plain button down and requires very little effort. Pair it with almost any bottom and you're guaranteed to turn heads. More below on this effortless look!

DISTRESSED DENIM

I'm SUPER excited to finally share my latest shoot with you all! I got to work with my talented friend Katherine Pekala . For those of you who haven't checked out her work, do yourself a favor and take a look. She is one to watch and an absolute amazing creative to work with (not to mention her bomb wardrobe inspired by Stockholm street style).

This look is all about distressed denim! These Levi jeans were actually passed down to me by my colleague. When in doubt, always take handy-downs. Every time I have these jeans on (which is very often) I get a ton of compliments. The wash is perfect! Not to mention they're slightly high waisted and make me look like I have a butt (huge plus for my lanky self). Side note: the jeans were not as ripped when originally purchased. My recommendation for someone who wants a bigger rip is to gradually do it instead of taking the risk of ruining them in one shot. They'll eventually get to the perfect distressed look overtime. Scroll down to see other amazing shots from my session with Katherine.

Another trend to watch for is Gingham! Its a versatile print that can be both edgy and cute. Read more from PopSugar on How to Wear Gingham.

ITS ALL SET

Hope everyone had a fabulous weekend *Sunday scaries slowly creeping in*. I spent my Saturday in the city with some friends then made it to Long Beach for the day! If I could live on the beach I probably would. The weather we've been having here in New York has been insanely beautiful! I'm personally not a huge fan of August because it means saying goodbye to beach days, Summer Fridays, etc.. but i'm looking forward to September and hopefully this weather will keep at it.

What I really like about Summer attire is how easily it can transition into a Fall look. To be honest, I don't specifically shop for Summer clothing...I rather splurge on a ton of Fall items such as booties, knit sweaters, coats, etc. You can pretty much rock any of your favorite Summer pieces in the Fall; whether it be layering a cute dress over a knit sweater or a crop top with a cool pair of pants. As long as you're having fun with it, thats all that matters. I'm always inspired by style icons, editorial work, and art which I try to incorporate in each look. Inspiration is everywhere. Lately I've been testing out different trends to see what looks good on my body type. I don't always gravitate towards wearing sets because I find that when I purchase them they never look right on me. Either the top is too cropped or not cropped enough or the pants are way too short on me. I find that when I create my own set, it ends up fitting a lot better. For more on my look, scroll down and don't forget to check out my style picks! See you all in September!

Culotte pants are another trend will be seeing a lot more of in the next Season. I will say, you really need to try them on in person. I would suggest buying them in store so you can get a feel of how they fit.

As far as finding a top to match, crop tops are ideal for this look because the pants go a bit over the belly.

These pants are from Zara (unfortunately not in stock anymore! but don't worry they have so many more similar ones to choose from available now).

These earrings give me major d i s c o vibes! I seriously love all of the jewelry from Free People.

Classic "I'm from New York can I help you" expression... just kidding I'm actually really nice.
